Cheech Marin & Giselle Fernandez Celebrity Co-Chairs The 4th Annual Latino Entertainment Industry Conference November 4-6, 1998

Los Angeles, CA — Latin Heat Publications in association with the Latino Entertainment Media Institute present the 4th Annual Latino Entertainment Industry Conference, Investing in Our Image, on November 4-6 at the Universal Hilton. Nash Bridges co-star Cheech Marin and Access Hollywood's host Giselle Fernandez will serve as this year's celebrity co-chairs and will participate in several events.

The three day event, the only conference catering to Latinos in entertainment in the U.S., will provide extensive information on the entertainment industry and how to enhance opportunities as well as access the lucrative Latino market.

Panels will be offered on directing, financing, distribution, marketing, Latino themed programming for TV, animation and music. A special seminar, "The Pitch" will afford participants a pitching session with a panel of television and film development executives.

Culminating the event will be a gala dinner where producer Moctesuma Esparza (Selena, Milagro Beanfield War, Gettysburg) will receive the Vision award. Other highlights include the world premiere of the independent film My Father's Love,: a mini-fest screening room, screening of trailers of Latino indie films, documentaries and shorts; a sitcom writer's boot camp; acting workshops.
