The Old town National City (O.T.N.C.) Reunion committee is hosting a reunion fund raise on Sat. Oct. 10, at 8 a.m. The planned events include a run-walk throughout the neighborhood starting a Kimball elementary School; a parade will follow ending a Sweetwater High School where festivities will continue throughout the day.
The donated proceeds will be donated to help re-build St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
The University of San Diego Athletic Department and the Torero Athletic Association's Committee for Women's Athletics will host their second annual "Salute to women's Athletics" on Thursday, September 24, at 6:30 pm. The 1997 Salute raised thousands of dollars for the women's athletic teams.
The event will be held on the University campus at the Sports Center Pool serving as an intimate and unique backdrop for the evening's festivities.

Lemon Grove Congregational United Church of Christ will celebrate its 104th birthday on Saturday, September 19 with an Open house from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. There will be free hot dogs and cake, continuous entertainment, including gospel music and a swing ban, historical displays, and a craft that children can make and take with them. Lemon Grove Congregational United Church of Christ is located at 2770 Glebe Road in Lemon Grove.
St. John of the Cross Annual Fall Festival will be held Friday September 25th thru Sunday the 27th. The festivities will include: International foods, wine and beer garden, games, rides, entertainment, crafts, white elephant, raffle and orchid show the event will conclude with an Auction Sunday at 6 p.m. St. John's is located at 8060 Broadway in Lemon Grove.
