The San Diego Blood Bank is pleased to welcome Lillian Gonzalez as its new blood donor recruiter. Gonzalez's focus is increasing blood donations at the South Bay, East County and Upas Street donor centers, and raising awareness among ethnic groups about the importance of blood donation.
Gonzalez speaks Spanish and English and is originally from New York City. She's lived in San Diego for the past 11 years, recently relocating from North County to Hillcrest. Prior to accepting the position with the blood bank's community relations department, Gonzalez worked for Women in Community Service, a national non-profit organization that addressed poverty, education and health issues pertaining to low income youth.
