Hispanic Association of Communications Employees of SBC to hold Annual Halloween Dance Party Scholarship Fundraiser

The Hispanic Association of Communications Employees of SBC (HACEMOS), parent corporation for Pacific Bell, is holding its annual Halloween Dance Party to help raise money for its Scholarship fund on October 20 at Eagles Hall, located at 3848 Centre St. in San Diego.

"As a member of HACEMOS I couldn't be prouder of the work we do within the Hispanic community," said John Chavez, president for HACEMOS. "Pacific Bell, and our parent company SBC, recognize that so much of our success tomorrow depends on the education and information that our children are provided today. Through the efforts of fundraisers like this we are able to provide scholarships that will help ensure the advancement and prosperity of the Hispanic community at large."

The event will take place on October 30 in the Eagles Hall at 3848 Centre St. in San Diego (Hillcrest) from 7:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. All the money raised from the event will go towards providing scholarships to students throughout San Diego and will allow them the opportunity to continue their education. However, only 300 tickets will be sold, so you must reserve your tickets fast. If you have any questions or would like to purchase tickets for the event please call 858-886-1135.

HACEMOS is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that was established on November 9, 1988 and is open to active and retired employees of the SBC Communications, Inc. family of companies.
