National City P.D. Chastised for Shooting

There was a man unmercifully shot by four police officers here in National City. The man was running naked down the street with a butcher knife. But I don't see why they had to shot him dead when other means were available. They carry night sticks that are enough to disarm that man with. I don't know what the Cops are afraid of. If they are wearing their bullet proof vests certainly they can stop a knife stroke. Where was the necessity to murder this individual? Why, if they wanted to shoot, why didn't they shoot at his knees? Is this a rule now in our city, that if a man is mentally ill they shot him like a dog??????

(How about that Mr. Mayor George Waters... Who controls your police department?)

ACLU TAKEN TO TASK

In an announcement defending the ACLU'S support of a lawsuit against racist remarks the ACLU spokesperson Dorothy Ehrlich, Executive Director ACFLU Northern California in a letter to the Union-Tribune informs that "free speech on a soapbox in the middle of a park is okay, but is not allowed in the workplace."

(The letter in part said "On a soapbox in the middle of a park, a person has a right to proclime racist views but the workplace is not a street corner or a public park.) Gee, I didn't realize the First Amendment had been revised to exclude free speech from the location where adults spend 40% of their waking hours. Does anyone still believe the ACLU defends the Bill of Rights???
