MUSIC FOR THE SEASONS
The San Diego Chamber Orchestra features music for all "The Seasons," November 22 through November 24, 1998. "The Seasons," is the second in a series of six theme concerts presented by the orchestra in its 1998/99 Season, celebrating 15 years of exciting musical performances throughout San Diego County.
The orchestra opens the concert with Johann Nepo-muk Hummel's - Fantasy for Viola & Strings in E minor featuring Vesna Gruppman on viola, followed by the Serenade for Strings by Edward Elgar. The second half features one of the most prolific and popular composers of the Baroque Era, Antonio Vivaldi with his Concerto for Four Violins and to conclude the concert, his most popular work, The Four Seasons with Igor Gruppman as conductor and violin soloist, and three of her student prodigies; Robert Alan Landes, age 13, Sally Yeh, age 12, and Eugene Ugorski, age 8.

CORONADO PLAYHOUSE PRESENTS A NEW MUSICAL
Tim Heitman has put Beatrix Potter's story (The Tailor of Gloucester) of the poor tailor and the mystical mice that befriend him to music, which will charm young and old alike. Bring the entire family to the beautiful bayside setting of the Coronado Playhouse for a smashing start to your holiday season. Cast members range from 8 to 18 years of age which will be sure to excite the younger members of your family.

JULIAN'S COUNTRY CHRISTMAS
The traditional lighting of the Julian Community Christmas Tree and the shops along Main Street will occur on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. The Seventh Annual event, is scheduled to begin twinkling at 5:30 p.m. on November 28. A live nativity will be reenacted on a nearby hillside.
The carolers and nativity reenactment will be performed each Saturday at 5:30 p.m. until Christmas. The Julian carolers will stroll along Main Street where merchants and vendors will be selling Julian's famous hot apple pie, warm cider and other traditional fare. THE COWBOY CHRISTMAS BALL
Michael Martin Murphey, singer/songwriter of such classic hits as "Geronimo's Cadillac," "Carolina in the Pines," "What's Forever For" and "Wildfire" will bring his annual concert, to the East County Performing Arts Center in El Cajon on Sunday, November 22 at 5 p.m.
Murphey, who is recognized as one of America's best selling cowboy singers, will be performing some of his cowboy poetry and western songs that fit into the spirit of the holiday. Many of these tunes can be found on Murphey's best-selling album, "Cowboy Christmas and Cowboy Songs II and III". Tickets may be charged by phone by calling 440-2277. COUNTRY SUPERSTAR PAM TILLIS
The East County Performing Arts Center in El Cajon will celebrate the holidays with the country superstar Pam Tillis, performing two special Christmas concerts on Sunday, November 29 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Pam Tillis is one of a group of dynamic female writer-performers who emerged in the early 1990s to transform the country music landscape. These diverse stylists took country songwriting to places it had never been before, and in so doing, revitalized the genre profoundly. A CHRISTMAS CAROL
One of San Diego's most beloved holiday traditions return to San Diego Repertory Theatre once again. Young and old alike will be magically transported back to Old London as Charles Dickens and his cast of characters take the audience on a spirited holiday journey, better known as the highly-acclaimed "A Christmas Carol."
As he did so beautifully last year, the production will be directed by one of San Diego's hottest young directors Sean Murray. HOLIDAY SEASON AT BAZAAR DEL MUNDO
Holiday traditions and dances from around the world will come together at Bazaar del Mundo's annual Festival of Lights celebration, from 5 to 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27. The free public event will be held in the Bazaar del Mundo's courtyard and culminates with the dramatic lighting of the elaborate Nativity, which will be on display through New Year's Day.
Festival of Lights entertainment will preview performances from the San Diego Area Dance Alliance's 1999 "Nations of San Diego" International Dance Festival. ATHENAEUM JAZZ AT THE NEUROSCIENCES INSTITUTE
