Foundation for the Children of the Californias Announces the Release of the Region's First Bilingual Calendar

The Foundation For the Children of the Californias would like to announce the release of the region's first bilingual calendar. This very special calendar notes Mexican, U.S. and Canadian holidays, helpful health tips for parents and children, a directory of services, and a detailed description of the efforts being made by the tri-national foundations to build the only Pediatric Medical and Education Complex in Baja, CA. Hospital Infantil de las Californias will expand its current Pediatric Medical Specialty Clinic, with 35 medical specialities, to a complete medical care facility including radiology, pharmacy, surgery and laboratory services.

The Foundation For The Children of the Californias is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the health and nutrition for children of the region. The calendar retails for $11.95 and is available at both the U.S. Foundation office and the Pediatric Specialty Clinic in Tijuana. Students from San Diego State University including members of SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) are volunteering to help the Foundation with the distribution of the calendars. The Foundation for the Children of the Californias is currently in need of additional volunteers to assist them with this effort. All proceeds from donations and calendar sales will go toward building Hospital Infantil's new complex-D.A.R.T.E. (Diagnosis, Assessment, Referral, Treatment and Education) Center in Tijuana-located just one-half mile past the Otay Mesa Border.

For information or to purchase the calendar, call the Foundation at 279-0591 or 279-0592.
