The proceeds from the event benefit Los Niños programs that address poverty and food security along the US/Mexico border by providing educational and community development programs for residents and US volunteers, to step out of their homes and into their communities. Los Niños teaches participants they are their own best resource in identifying and addressing issues concerning their lives. Through nutrition and gardening programs, micro enterprise projects and construction projects, Los Niños motivates children, women and volunteers to change the world in which they live.
