Free Tennis Lesson Available at Over 30 San Diego
Locations
The Free Tennis Lesson Blitz has arrived in San Diego!Beginning
Tomorrow, Saturday, May 5 through May 20, over 30 tennis facilities
in San Diego County will offer the Free Lesson Blitz, consisting
of a free 90-minute tennis lesson, to beginners and former players
returning to the sport.
We will be offering our Free Lesson program in 100 cities across
the nation this year, says Chris Mireles, National Coordinator
for the Tennis Industry Association (TIA).
The Free Lesson Blitz has given many people a chance to discover
the great benefits of our sport. The Free Lesson Blitz is part
of the nationwide USA Tennis Plan for Growth organized by the
United States Tennis Association, the national governing body
for the sport, and the TIA, the trade group of 130 tennis-related
companies including manufacturers, apparel and shoe companies.
After participating in the Free Lesson Blitz, aspiring players
are encouraged to enroll in USA Tennis 1-2-3, a low-cost follow
up program consisting of nine hours if instruction covering the
fundamentals of the game.
At the conclusion of USA Tennis 1-2-3, participants are urged
to take part in USA Team Tennis, which gives players a chance
to play on teams and continue building their tennis skills.
For information on enrolling for the Free Lesson Blitz, USA
Tennis 1-2-3 or USA Team Tennis, San Diego County residents may
