The San Diego Trolley will be rededicating its 25th and Commercial Station to honor César E. Chávez. A ceremony will mark the occasion with a new station sign unveiling Friday March 28 at 10 am.
The Urban Corps of San Diego and César E. Chávez Service Club representatives will also kick-off their six-month tree-planting project by planting the first tree along César E. Chávez Parkway.
Special guest speaker will be Julie Chávez Rodriguez, Chávez’s granddaughter. There will be a special direct service Trolley from the Convention Center Trolley Station to the “25th and Commercial César E. Chávez” Trolley Station at 9:50 am.
