Southwestern College Hosts Career Fair 2000, "A New Century of Job Opportunities"

Southwestern College kicks off this year's Career Fair 2000, "A New Century of Job Opportunities," Monday, April 3. Workshops will be offered throughout the week to help job seekers learn about the college's career resources, the hottest jobs, and which jobs search techniques to use when entering a new career. Topics include Résumés That Get the Job, Using Cyberspace for Career Research, Biotechnology—San Diego's Fastest Growing Career Field, and many more. The event will be at SWC's main campus, 900 Otay Lakes Road, Chula Vista.

Employer Information Day, Tuesday, April 4, followed by Criminal Justice, Fire Science, and Paramedic Career Day, Wednesday, April 5, will provide students the opportunity to network with employers from their related fields. The week will also offer a dynamic employer panel, consisting of prominent employers from private industry and government agencies. A question and answer time will allow those present to inquire about the best methods to use when applying for a job.

Those who attend any workshop or employer day may enter a drawing for two round-trip airline tickets, courtesy of Southwest Airlines. SWC's Career Fair 2000, "A New Century of Job Opportunities," is free and open to the public.
