How to do Business in Mexico Without Speaking Spanish

Doing business in Mexico could be an important part of your business growth strategy. Now is the perfect time to take advantage of new state funding allocated to support California businesses expanding commerce with Mexico.

To help you prepare key leaders in your business, Southwestern College will offer a series of four FREE courses totaling 12 hours, beginning in March. Classes are tailored to help any individual or business leader develop expertise in the areas needed to conduct business in Mexico confidently and successfully. Students will gain expertise in defining goals, project management, and leadership skills. Classes are flexible with a practical approach to provide each student with immediate know-how.

The series will be especially valuable for business leaders and key personnel who have direct responsibility for increasing their company's trade with Mexico. Upon completion of these courses, students will have access to one-on-one consulting from the Center for International Trade Development, to assist with implementing targeted projects. Assistance includes helping find qualified matches for buyers or sellers, and/or participation in trade fairs with emphasis on products and services.

Instructor: Wayne Lundberg, a manufacturing engineer, has set up, managed and operated manufacturing plants and maquiladoras throughout Mexico. He is an entrepreneur, inventor and author, as well as a business consultant for the Small Business Development Center.
