June 11, 1999
The next Southwestern College summer session begins June 14. A wide range of courses is available for students who need to fulfill general education requirements, prepare for a major, or take courses for elective credit. Courses in business, computers, communications, history, math and science are a few of the academic classes which will be offered in summer sessions beginning June 14 and July 8, and concluding August 12. Southwestern College courses are inexpensive at just $12 a unit for California residents.
Summer sessions begin at various times during the summer to accommodate almost any schedule. Classes are compressed into modules over a five-week format, and a nine-week program. The nine-week session begins June 14 and concludes August 12. There will also be a five-and-a-half week session that will run July 8 to August 12. Each summer session will offer students a wide selection of courses during the day and evening.
The multiple summer sessions will also be offered at the various Southwestern College sites, which include Education Center at San Ysidro and Higher Education Center at National City. Students can choose from different locations and academic areas that best suit their schedule and academic plan.
Class schedules are available at the Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce and at all South County libraries.
