The Stars Shine at the Celebri-T Auction for San Diego Youth & Community Services

Musicians, athletes and celebrities of all stripes are donating designer gowns, jewels, signed photos and other collectibles for the 13th Annual Celebri-T Auction to benefit San Diego Youth and Community Services. The event will be held on Saturday, June 19, 1999 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Westin Horton Plaza Hotel on the Garden Terrace.

With silent and live auctions, dinner and dancing, this event is a wonderful opportunity to spend a night with the stars under the stars," says Event Chair Don Clauson. This year the Celebri-T Auction is an event of the KSWB TV5/69, a fund of the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation. The McCormick Tribune Foundation will add significant dollars to those raised so every donation will go farther to support San Diego Youth & Community Services.

Proceeds from the auction benefit programs for at-risk youth who are homeless, abandoned, delinquent, abused or in some way do not have adequate support to make it on their own. Each donation is a pledge to a child in need. Every dollar goes directly toward getting a child off the streets, into a safe healthy environment and on to a better future. San Diego Youth & Community Services' programs span the full range of needs and afford young people an opportunity to improve themselves and their community.

In addition to memorabilia autographed and donated by more than 100 of the world's brightest celebrities, the event features a drawing for a vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and prizes. Reservations are available for $100 per person. The Westin Horton Plaza is located at 910 Broadway Circle, one block south of Broadway, downtown San Diego. For reservations and further info call San Diego Youth & Community Services at 221-8600 ext. 360.
