This set a trend in motion and next presented an all-female Mariachi group from Guadalajara, Mexico, Las Perlitas in 1992. At Ms. Rodriguez invitation, Los Angeles' own female Mariachi group, La Reyna de Los Angeles, made its debut at the Hollywood Bowl in 1994. In 1995 she presented Japanese mariachi singer, Junko Seki along with special guests from Mexico. Mariachi Diva, Nydia Rojas, made her solo debut at the Festival in 1997, where she was presented her first gold record. In 1998 for the first time she presented two, all-female mariachi ensembles, Las Alondras and Las Adelitas. The talent, choreography, production numbers, stage and lighting design are capped off each night with a signature fireworks show that keep audiences coming back.
