Washington, D.C. - A one-year reporting fellowship for an aspiring Latino or Latina journalist to train as a reporter in the nation's capital beginning in late summer is being offered by the Hispanic Link Journalism Foundation.
The fellowship provides a stipend of $20,000, plus benefits. Deadline to receive application is June 21.
The selected fellow will be placed with the Washington, D.C.-based Hispanic Link News Service, which covers national affairs with an emphasis on their impact on 32 million U.S. Hispanics.
The service publishes Hispanic Link Weekly Report, a national newsweekly, and syndicates opinion, news analysis and feature columns to English- and Spanish-language media in the United States and Latin American through the Los Angeles Times Syndicate.
Applicants will be judged on their English-language writing skills, journalistic potential and commitment to work in print journalism. There are no age limitations or education requirements.
