Rabinal, Guatemala: Denese Joy Becker, a mother of two who

she might ask, no one to talk with to compare memories of an idyllic
childhood that ended in unspeakable scenes. In March, with the
help of an Internet-savvy cousin, Becker discovered she was a
survivor of one of the worst massacres in the history of this
country's 36-year internal war.

Unificando nuestra comunidad
Esta crucial mitad del año 2000 pasará a
la historia como una de las más significativas para nuestra
comunidad. En la última semana de junio y en la primera

respectivamente, dos de las principales organizaciones latinas

para definir la política estadounidense.

¡No Deje Usted Que Un Ataque Cerebral Mate

SAT 9 Scores Torpedos School Districts!
The Science of Math is a myth. The myth is that figures
don't lie that 2 + 2= 4 unless they are written as 2 2 then they
might be twenty two. Or you might be adding a negative 2 plus
a positive 2 in which case they equal zero. In the case of Superintendent
of Schools Alan Bersin and some of the members of his Board of
Trustees, it is clear that they attempted to sandbag everyone
that object failure was actually a victory!

settlers who are mighty ticked off at his stupid raid on the rate
payers pocket books. We don't think we should pay wampum to his
friends (the utilities) to make up to them for giving him
many shiny beads for his last war campaign. His war chest got
full and all we got was heap big bucket of phony baloney which
gave us all lotsa of gas and nothing else.
THE RAINBOW CHRONICLES
Chapter VIII

First Chorus
Dear Héctor
I'd like to bounce a couple of ideas off of you, in direct reference
to our visits to Tijuana and San Diego. I realize that a few weeks
have passed since your visit and, hence, that time may have affected
your feelings in terms of what you experienced during your stay.
In any case, I wish to petition your honesty in responding to
this inquiry; your frank response as an individual and perhaps
not so much from the position of `artist,' is indispensable.

Over the years, you can probably count on one hand the
number of Hispanic athletes who have made a major impact on the

Jim Plunkett and the Cowboys' defensive lineman, Tony Casillas
provide Munoz some company on what is regrettably, a very short
list.
