The training camp takes place July 31 through August 20, 2004, with two pre-season games scheduled during the camp in Oakland, California and Houston, Texas. The team will practice Monday through Friday and on select weekends.

The cost of the camp is free and parking is just $5. The parking lot will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. A highlight of the training camp is the Dallas Cowboys Experience, a unique and fun football experience for all ages. The Experience includes a number of inflatable interactive elements that will be provided to participants to test their football skills.

For example, the Field Goal Kick, an inflatable enclosed game, will allow individuals the opportunity to kick a field goal. The Football Toss, challenges individuals to throw a football through one of three target holes placed at the back side of the game. Other favorites include The Mountain, a 22-foot tall mountain that allows individuals to climb up one side and slide down the other. A synthetic football field will also be placed in the area complete with drills and other fun challenges. For the very young, a specific kid’s area will be set up allowing for children to dress up in Cowboy’s gear and take pictures. The Dallas Cowboys Experience is offered at a minimal cost of $2. The Experience is free to the public on Sunday, August 1 during National Kid’s Day sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club.

During the camp, two special events will be taking place for youths. Aspiring cheerleaders can take part in the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Camp held Friday, July 30 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Oxnard High School. Youths between the ages of 4-18 can participate in the free camp, which includes an Autograph Session with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders following the camp activity.
