PROP L

The $1.750 million dollar special election on Prop L will be held March 2, 1999. The proponents of this proposal are getting worried that it will not get the necessary number of votes in order to pass. They are now preparing to unleash a multi-million dollar television, radio, and print media blitz to bombard you with propaganda, misstatements, and out right falsehoods to make you believe that Prop L is something else than what the actual proposal on the ballot actually says. The voters have suffered the impeachment blitzes, the Charger and Padres fairy tales that were broadcast as something entirely different than what was actually happening in the secret meetings. By now, the voters are snakebite and will find it hard believe the blatant propaganda that will be aimed at them by the establishment.

The campaign manipulators are now promising phone banks, yard signs, bumper stickers, buttons, and precinct walkers. This is a highly financed campaign run by out-of town city slickers that really think that the voters of San Diego are a bunch of hayseeds.

Opposing this high- financed operation are a bunch of folks who are sick and tired of being lied to, taken advantaged of, and treated by our city hall "Felony-Stupid elected officials as irrelevant nincompoops. YA BASTA! Which means, `THAT'S ENOUGH OF THIS STUFF'"!

THE SCORE:

The proponents in the ballot statement want you to believe that the San Diego area has the worst library system in the state. They state "San Diego ranks 159 out of 170 library systems in the state."

FACT: The California Library Statistics, (California State Library—Library *Development Services Bureau), in its ranking of library district by spending per capita compared to similar sized districts reports the following:

Chula Vista $45.78 3rd of 32

FACT: There is only ONE LIBRARY SYSTEM THAT IS UNDERFUNDED and that is the San Diego County Library system! The Board of Supervisors spends 86% of their budget on salaries and obscene bonus to their overpaid top administrators for doing the job they are getting paid for. Where are their priorities? It is not surprising that the county libraries are under funded.

PREGUNTA: If they lie about such an important issue as to the financial status of each library System… CAN YOU BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY HAVE SAID?

I THINK NOT!
