Confession

By Donta

Verse I

Check it now I stand here
--Confession again
Hoping my prayers are being answered
--For a blessing again.
Facing a depression again but still
--Fighting 2 overcome,
I done witness so much pain & violence
--My inside's numb.
See I was making bad decision, confused
--Between religions,
Didn't even want 2 know the difference
--Until I was facing prison.
Spent most of my life living in trials
--And tribulations.
Dear God I'm sick and tired of being lost so
--Now I'm seeking salvation.
No mo bangin', no mo slanging' time 2 put
--Down that blue rag.
I'm trading in my wicked ways all
--The evil and bad.
I spent too much time chasing love
--In all the wrong places
So many back stabbing friends so many
--Painful faces.
See I done caught cases & all trying
--2 find what was true
Still I was too blind 2 realize that
--All along it was you.
And throughout my life u see
--I've learned many valuable lessons.
Dead God hear my cry, dear God send
--Me a blessing now my confession.

Verse II

Now Mom & Dad was never there
--But still I tried 2 hold on
So I got put on the hood
--Just so I could belong
Start packin' a chrome in these
--Streets 2 control my peace,
But u spared my life, It could've
--Been me laying dead in the street.
This cold world ain't nothing nice
--We really paying the price.
I seen my homey lose his
--Life behind the roll of a dice
With my so-called friends trying
--To kick it, my frame of mind was too wicked
And all the sins that I committed
--I confess all, I admit it.
but can u help me Lord please. I don't
--Think that I'll make it.
Never got what I wanted so
--I learned to take it.
And no one heard my please or my
--Cry
No one seen my pain cuz I held
--It all inside.
See I was too rebellious I just
--Couldn't learn the easy way
When I was faded I hesitated
--2 get on my knees and pray.
And throughout my life I've learned
--Many valuable lessons.
Dear God hear my cry, dear God
--Send me a blessing now my confession.

Verse III

Our father we join in heaven
--Hollow by thy name.
Thy kingdom come thy will be done
--Throughout the sun and rain.
On earth forgive us our debts as we
--Forgive our debters.
With all other mischievous sins
--And vendettas.
Lead us not to temptation but deliver
--Us from evil.
Let every race in this nation come
--Together as one people.
We all equal for thou is the kingdom
--Power and glory.
And when I enter the house of the lord
--It's more glory
Remember now thy creator in the
Days of thou youth.
Ecclesiastes 12 & 1 and look it up yourself
--Cuz it's true
When I was a boy C I remember about
--The age of eleven,
That I was choosing to lead my people
Into the kingdom of heaven
Now here I am Lord I'm confessing upon my
--Knee
Mold me like clay in ya hands 2
--Whatever u want me 2 be.
And throughout my life ya see I've learned
--Many valuable lessons
Dear God hear my cry. Dear God send
--Me a blessing now my confessions.
