Pitney Bowes Names Henry Hernandez Director, Business Diversity Development

Stamford, CT — Pitney Bowes Inc. announced the appointment of Henry O. Hernandez, Jr. as Director, Business Diversity Development for Pitney Bowes Inc. In this role, Hernandez will be responsible for the strategic design, development and implementation of business diversity initiatives throughout the corporation. He will oversee Pitney Bowes' diversity supplier program and will promote and increase the company's use of minority and women owned business contractors in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.

Prior to joining Pitney Bowes, Hernandez served as Managing Director of Strategic Advisory Services with Soza International, where his expertise in strategy consulting and corporate financial services benefited the small business, technology, and Hispanic markets. Hernandez honed his extensive skills in strategic planning, technology-based start-ups and new business development with positions at Lockheed Martin Advanced Environmental Systems and TRW. He also worked as an Intelligence Officer at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Active in his community, Hernandez founded the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) in 1988 and served as its first president. He has twice been honored by the organization for his contributions. In 1993, he was presented with the first Board of Director's Brillante Award, and in 1999, with the Stellar Achievement Award from the Houston chapter of NSHMBA. Hernandez received his BA in mechanical engineering from Rice University and his MBA in finance and information systems from the Anderson School at UCLA.
