Luis Fonsi to be the "Half Time Heartthrob" at the Orange Bowl

Universal Music Latinos's Luis Fonsi will be performing at the collegiate football, 2001 FedEx Orange Bowl halftime show. Fonsi, the newest Latino pop sensation, will entertain the crowd with the Spanglish version of "Love Me Or Let Me Go" on January 3, 2001 at Miami's Pro Player Stadium which will air live on ABC.

Fonsi has been keeping himself very busy these days, not only tackling the Latin market but the Anglo market as well. He has already appeared in the trendy Ocean Drive Magazine and teen magazines Twist, J14 and SWEET16 as well as television appearances on Fox's Deco Drive. "I've always dreamed of getting to where I have gotten so far, but I never dreamed things would happen so fast," says the 22-year-old singer.

Luis Fonsi introduced his first album, "Comenzaré" in 1998 and followed it up with "Eterno," released earlier this year. The latter produced a No.1 hit, "Imaginame Sin Ti" and has another hit, "No Te Cambio Por Ninguna" in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks chart.
