The Holy Days Are Amongst Us

The winter Holy-Days are upon us Thanksgiving - Christmas - New Years. On Thanksgiving, we gathered with family, friends, and the strangers among us, to share in the traditional Turkey Dinner, with all the trimmings. Families throughout our country bowed their heads in prayer for all the blessings received. As a nation of immigrants, we all gave our thankfulness, in the traditional ways of our country of origin. Each family gave thanks to their All Mighty for what was perceived as providential to ones lives, in communion with all members in our country.

Preparations are now underway to honor, He Whom We Pray To Our God.

Be he Christian, or any other form of religious group, we all pray to The ONE who is prayed to for comfort, protection, forgiveness, and love. In America this is done at Christmas time and Christians join to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Though the majority of the citizens of these United States are Christians and Christmas is a celebration of his birth. Non-Christians, who are members of our country join in celebrating, in their own way and beliefs, their Creator. At Christmas time, peoples of all faiths and beliefs pause in communion pledging their undying love and fidelity to HE who we believe is our God and Creator.

On New Years' Day, we join with family and friends and celebrate the ending of yet another year in our lives and promise to do better in the New Year to come and improve the lives of our families, friends, and neighbors. It is a New Year and hope springs eternal that the year 2000 will usher in a new millenium where the peoples of the world all join together to make of this small globe, circling our Sun, a much better place to live in Peace, Harmony, and Tranquility.
