Las Vegas Mariachi Mania Weekend


Hispanic Heritage Month highlights the contributions of Hispanics to the United States. The month is also a great opportunity to hear mariachi music. The line up includes the top names from the World of Mariachi, appearing at the Thomas and Mack Center of the UNLV campus.

The festivities kick off at 11:00 PM, Friday, September 18th, with "El Numero Uno" Vicente Fernández, per-forming in concert with his sensational Mariachi Chapala in the luxurious and intimate Luxor Showroom.

At 8:00 PM Saturday, September 19th, Elias Entertainment and the Thomas and Mack Center present the Eighth annual Las Vegas International Mariachi Festival.

This year's all star cast will include stellar performances by the energetic and talented Pedro Fernández and the Legendary Yolanda Del Rio. These two entertainers will be performing exclusively with the accompaniment of Mariachi.

As always the stars of the show are the Mariachis and this year's production boasts three of the finest. Direct from Mexíco City The World's Greatest Mariachi, Vargas de Tecalitlán, from Los Angeles, California, America's Premier Mariachi, Sol de México de José Hernández, the Traditional excellence of Mariachi Los Arrieros de México and the magical sounds of Marimbas Nandayapa. No Mariachi festival is complete without the color and pageantry of the Ballet Folklórico San Jaun.
