SWC Summer Musical
Southwestern College presents a nostalgic summer musical with the premiere performance of "Downtown" at Mayan Hall, August 6-7. Do you remember the 1960's and the musical invasion from England? This multigenerational, cross-cultural British comedy revue spins a spiraling time warp tale of riveting rock legends like Petula Clark, Manfred Mann, the Foundation of the Troggs. Splicing Carnaby Street with London fashion mishaps, this tour de force evokes a lively trip to a check era and that one cool, spontaneous Ruby Tuesday, when cultural revolution was only a Do wah Ditty away. "Downtown" plays at Southwestern's Mayan Hall. General admission is $10, students and seniors are $7. For ticket information call the box office at 482-6367. For more information call William Virchis at 421-6700 x5346.
