Gov. Davis had the opportunity to bite the bullet on PROP 187... Today he SACRIFICED 10 MILLION MEXICAN AMERICANS by refusing to set aside the racist appeal that continues to push the racism of Prop 187... Davis hid behind "legalize" to cover up his utter lack of leadership in behalf of the Mexican American voters who put him in office! Could it be because he is sucking up to the rich racist who authored Prop 187!

Pos what are we gonna do with la Alcaldesa Susan Golding??? Time getting short for her and this lame duck mayor hasn't got a place to land once she is history. Her resume is particularly good. About the only job she can apply for is to head the Chamber of Commerce... They are so screwed up, that one more felony-stupid person won't be noticed! On the hand if Golding wants to stay in politics... she could run for the San Ysidro School Board of Trustees. She will be right at home down in Sydro.
Notas en pasando: Jerry and Jeannette Apodaca, residents of Mira Mesa, suffered the loss of their two grandchildren on Monday April 12, 1999. The children died in a car accident while travelling with their father, Ignacio Garate enroute to visit their paternal grandmother near La Paz, Arizona. Our condolences to the family and may Valentina and Sabina rest in peace.
First assignment when El Jefito gets back in the saddle: Sit down with Cecile San-juan, Doctoral student from the University of Aix-Marseille, France who is doing her doctorate in Comparative Political Science, Multi-culturalism, the impact of the public policies on the Mexican Americans of the United States (such as Prop 187 and 209) that should be fun for El Jeff... Cecile coming from France to do her analysis.
