April 16, 1999

California State University, San Marcos celebration of the Life of Cesar Chavez will take place on April 21st. The event is scheduled to be an all day celebration with speakers and performers.

Guest Speakers Include:

· Dr. Alexander Gonzalez, President of CSUSM

· Dolores Huerta, Secretary/Treasurer of UFW

· Sal Barajas, United Farm Workers (UFW) Organizer

· Hector Muro, Mexicanos Unidos en Defensa del Pueblo

Performers Include:

· Ballet Folklorico Mixtlán of California State University, San Marcos

· Ballet Esperanza

· Native American Singers/ Drummers

· Aztec Dancers from San Diego State University

· ASI Early Learning Center

· El Sonido Del Pueblo

· Rappers from Fallbrook and Ivy High School

The event begins at 10:00 AM in the Cesar Chavez Plaza and will continue into the evening for a candle light vigil. Parking is $1.50 (quarters only).
