This will be the shortest and saddest Bullfight World column ever to be presented in La Prensa San Diego.
We have lost a great friend. Gary Sloan, Bullfight World’s Tijuana correspondent, one of the world’s truly great taurine photographers, and a very close friend, has died.
He seemed to be in good health and was always in good spirits. Then, just like that, he was gone. I am devastated, beyond words.
I was his photographic maestro. He took what I taught him to unimaginable heights. He was a genius, in his own right.
Wherever Gary is, I know that he will make it a better place.
Adios, Gary. You have no idea how much you will be missed.
