Voluntary and mandatory evacuees have been filtering into the Community Youth Center gymnasium on the Chula Vista High School campus. At least 150 people, some from neighboring communities affected by the fires, are finding shelter at the center located at 465 L Street. Many generous people have been dropping off food and other donations; however, there is a continuing need for sleeping bags and mats.
